I have a pug too. He is two years old and he weighs about 25 pounds but he is long so he really doesn't look much overweight. When I first got my pug he was a lot skinnier and very active. But then I got him neutered and he became lazy and started putting on weight. I feed him about the same as you do 2 1/2 cups of food each day.
