If what you actually meant was a rice-based puppy food, one that contains plenty of meat/protein, a trip to the vet is necessary to find out what kind of intestinal parasite she has and treat it. If he was my dog and I knew he was healthy and getting the nutrition he needs I wouldn't worry about it too much. But I like a lean dog especially a dobie. IMHO, a fat dog is much worse. If you do decide to put some weight on, it can be tricky so be carefully and go slow.
